Russell Jewell

​     Russell Jewell is an internationally recognized plein air painter with signature memberships in the National Watercolor Society and The Transparent Watercolor Society of America. Jewell’s accomplishments include a doctorate in Art Education with a Fulbright Memorial fund scholarship to Japan.

Jewell’s most recent awards include Plein Air Easton 2019 Best Watercolor, 2019 South Carolina Watermedia Society National Exhibition Second Place, 2019 Transparent Watercolor Society Indira Das Memorial Award, 2017 Plein Air Easton Tilghman Island Paint Out Artists’ Choice Award. Russell Jewell’s work was published August, 2019 Watercolor Artist Magazine and a feature article “Freezing the Sun” January 2020 was published in Plein Air Magazine.  Other works and his patented plein air viewfinder can be seen at:
